Laser Dermatology Internship in Armenia

We are looking for talented, self-motivated and reliable pre-medical or medical student with interested in global health who can work with our organization in continuing our goal in establishing a medical laser clinic in Yerevan, Armenia.  This is an unpaid internship opportunity but students are encouraged to find outside funding.  The student will work directly with Dr. Lilit Garibyan and her team and at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine and at Arabkir Hospital in Yerevan, Armenia.  Along with Dr. Rox Anderson, Dr. Garibyan is the co-founder of the medical laser clinic in Armenia, which is currently located in the Arabkir Medical Hospital in Armenia.

With this work the student will also be given the opportunity to travel to Armenia with the Harvard Medical School team for one week to participate in the treatment of patient and training of Armenian physicians on how to use lasers to treat medical conditions.  The student will also have the opportunity to write a newspaper article or publish the work based on this experience.   The length of the internship is negotiable and can be anywhere from 1 month to one year.

Job description and requirement:

Premedical or medical student interested in global health   

Organize and plan trip to Armenia with Harvard Medical School professors, faculty and students

Organize lectures and educational program for training and teaching the doctors in Armenia how to use medical lasers to treat scars and birthmarks

Strong organizational, communication skills are a must

Required to have web design skills to help establish a website for our medical laser clinic

Organize fundraisers

Skill set to create social media presence for our project
