Description: This weeklong summer program for type I diabetic children takes place in a resort-like location outside of Yerevan. Pediatric endocrinologist and diabetic nurses attend roughly 30-35 children. Diet, glucose monitoring and preventive care are emphasized. In 2019, continuous glucose monitors (Freestyle Libre sensors and readers) were provided to the children so that they could observe the wide fluctuations in glucose and improved control. Hemoglobin A1c testing was performed. Expenses for the camp were under US $10,000.
